Riding the bus here, as in other Northern European countries, is quite straightforward. You get on, tell the driver where you want to go, pay, and that's it - just bus riding.

However, on this island, there are 2 main bus companies, also called Guaguas.

"The Yellows" Guaguas Municipales - These are the city buses in Las Palmas and only operate there.

"The Blues" Guaguas Global - These connect you to places all over the island.

Available Bono Cards

There are various tariffs and cards available from both providers. With GLOBAL, the main cards allow you to use all public bus lines on the Canary Islands, regardless of which provider operates the segment.Every bono card, except the last one, has the following requirements are a Empadronamiento (Viaje) & White NIE.
